Interruption

Keish was hospitalized since Monday, and I have been travelling from the far east to the west to visit every day, chilling out with her for hours each time in a private room that the very kind vet has set aside for us. Keish has always been the least feisty of my 3 babies, so I was surprised to be told that she was starting to become a little difficult. I do notice though that she's beginning to rub me very hard, and would bury her head under my arms and my chest while I'm with her.

Alberto was brought in for an ultrasound scan today, and I was there to hold him down for the procedure. The nurses couldn't even get him out of the carrier without risking their arms. I've been to the same clinic for almost 15 years now and everyone knows that I would never consent to having my cats sedated unless it's absolutely necessary, and that I am always available if they need help handling my cats. There are stones in Al's gall bladder, and everything else seems fine. I don't know if that means he is in a better shape than Keish, who has inflamed pancreas, liver and kidney.

It was only 2 months ago that both Keish and Al had passed their blood test with flying colors, so their current condition baffles not just me, but their vet too. She's guessing it's stress from having a hyperactive, mischievous and affectionate Ali around...

I started using my reading glasses an hour ago. For the first time in exactly a year now, I can finally see my candles and their wicks CLEARLY. Had I realized earlier that it was my eyes, I wouldn't have spent all those precious time adding and changing colors and adding stuff to help me see price better. I can also finally see what I am cooking, and I am finally able to read messages and all the other fun things on my mobile. I have not an inkling why and how it had never occurred to me that I am old enough to be long-sighted. But then again, I've had the history of mistaking contraction pain for diarrhea (I was 19, and it took my visiting friends (all men, all not old enough to drink) to remind me I was due and had me rushed to the hospital).

Renovation has stopped for a while during the period that I was totally unable to see, talk or listen to anyone. There's still a lot of touch-ups to do, and for as long as my home's not completely done up, I'll have to do my best to keep my spirits up and ignore everything that's unfixed.

Now that I can see my charts, I should be able to resume trading soon, once Keish and Alberto are discharged.

I hope your little guys get back home healthy and safe soon Jules. I know first hand how stressful that can be.

Hi, Jules,

It's been ages. I've been following along here every now and again, and I think of you often. I hope all is well with the cats.
