Love and Marriage

CL 15min
CL 5min

A colleague and I had a brief discussion on marriage and love - he noticed that people tend not to marry those they love the most, and wondered why...

I told him that the theory I've always held is that we have a tendency to want what we can't have, and to take what we have for granted...It helps me to come to terms with the general belief that good marriages are generally boring (like good trades perhaps???).

So to keep the fires of love burning in our relationship, I make it a point to pick a fight with D at least once a month. HA HA.

I'm really looking forward to moving to J's at Mill Valley. D's looking at Newport Beach in Orange County. J's been sending information... including price of cars in US...

I LOVE J!!!

I grew up in Mill Valley as well. Lived about ten minutes from the library. I left when I went to college and can only make occasional trips back. It's changed a lot, but it's still a fantastic place to live and close to one of the best cities (SF). One of the most beautiful spots in the US, IMO. MUCH better than Newport Beach (boring!) -- I have a sister in-law in Laguna Beach, just down the road from NPB. You might take a look at that town -- more fun, more restaurants, more to do in general, better beach and more outgoing people.... And when you're in LA, please drop me a line. I'm in San Diego.
